Ponu is clearly the greaser with the most academic promise/ I could see him getting out of the hood and becoming very successful. Maybe he would become an author or an inspirational speaker who could spread the message of hope, forgiveness, and equality.

i think that he does that because soda pop is sort of set in his ways and knows how to handle himself, ponyboy is a little bit lost but darry sees that he has a great future ahead of him.

i would like to see johnny and dally's, funerals too. i would also enjoy seeing how Ponyboy, the other greasers and the rest of the town are taking the deaths. another thing that i would like to see would be the final draft of ponyboy's theme/paper.

Johnny means that children are golden because they see thinks more spiritually and symbolically than adults. Most people lose the gold when they grow up, but Johnny has faith that Ponyboy can "stay gold."
